The Wines
Entirely certified organic.
All wines produced and sold are organic. In 2018 our steel fermentation area was completely renovated to better control quality. We recently purchased 10 very important Barriques and 10 Tonneaux for the Nobile and the Reserve. Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet are the “gems” of the Terra Antica vineyards.
The Method
Terra Antica is fully certified organic. All the wines produced and sold are organic. In 2018, our stainless steel fermentation area was completely renovated to better control the quality. Recently, we purchased 10 Barriques and 10 Tonneaux, which are very important for the Nobile and the Riserva. The vineyards are carefully monitored throughout the year: from pruning to fertilization, especially during the peak season, with strictly organic agriculture. The grapes are handpicked in a period that can range from September to October.
Certification
The Italian Wine Union, the Chamber of Commerce and the Consorzio del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano are the bodies certifying the high quality of our wines, which are subjected to rigorous organoleptic controls up until the moment of bottling.
Olive Oil
Entirely certified organic.
Two hectares of our land are dedicated to the cultivation of native olive varieties, Frantoio, Moraiolo, and Leccino. In November, the best olives are strictly handpicked and promptly taken to the mill to preserve all their properties. This also allows us to track the production lots.
The olives are strictly cold-pressed to produce our exquisite organic extra virgin olive oil, whose superior quality is measured according to the organoleptic parameters set by the European Community.
Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is not a blend; it is a pure organic product without traces of agrochemical substances.
