Aged for four years in oak barrels, this wine delights the palate with its exceptionally smooth character and remarkable richness of aroma and complexity. “Close to Heaven” is particularly well-suited for long aging, with an estimated shelf life of approximately 15 years. A wine of great structure, it pairs beautifully with appetizers, meat-based first courses, and grilled or stewed meats, and is equally at home with complex gourmet dishes or even simpler pairings, such as dark chocolate or chips.
